Today we start blogging, but first I want to apologize

prescience_blog_welcome
Ever since launching Prescience we planned to be blogging about the pains we solve for our customers and the things that are happening in our business. But we never got around to it. That stops today!

First let me introduce myself. I am Thomas, one of the co-founders of Prescience. You may be wondering why I start this blog post by apologizing?

Since starting Prescience in 2015 I wanted to blog about our journey, our business and the challenges we help our customers tackle.  But as happens to most of us, I got caught up in day-to-day operations trying to be everything for everyone.

All the top marketeers say it is never to early to start marketing your business. I hope that in my case, it is not too late. And I apologize for not starting sooner.

Stepping up our blogging efforts

So without further ado I want you to know that we will be stepping it up a notch in the blogging department.

As none of us are top academics or professional content writers we will take an informal approach. Or as we say in Danish

“blogging på jysk”

Which roughly translated means unpretentious blogging by unpretentious people 😉

So what will we be blogging about?

For starters we will blog about the day-to-day problems in supply chain operations that frustrate both us and our customers. While at lot is happening with Industry 4.0, IoT, AI, etc., let’s face it, 99% of us work like it’s 1999, trying to wing it with our home-cooked Excel hacks.

Secondly, we will blog about outsourcing and subcontracting in manufacturing because we have been fascinated with this paradoxical concept during our academic and professional careers. We both believe, that when done right and with open eyes, there is so much potential in strategic outsourcing as a core competence.

Thirdly, we may take the liberty to occasionally blog about entrepreneurship and running a small business, not because we are experts, but because it is our reality and something that genuinely interests us.

Finally, we will try to share info about new features in the product category.

That wasn’t so hard

Wow – that was it. The first blog post is done.

I hope you liked it.

I would really appreciate your feedback. And please feel free to post improvement ideas or topics suggestions in the comments below.

Have a great day 🙂
